Pollarding is a method of pruning that removes the entire crown of the tree in order to encourage new growth but also to restrict the height the tree grows to.
This method is generally used on select species, such as willow trees. Once a tree is pollarded it will grow back as multiple stems, which will require re-pollarding usually annually in order to keep control of the height. We provide this service as required.
